ABOUT Megan

Megan is a licensed mental health counselor associate (MC61158869). She has worked in the mental health field since 2003. Megan received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Seattle University. Following graduation, she worked in community mental health settings providing case management for clients with severe and persistent mental health conditions, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. For three years, she worked at Harborview Medical Center with patients experiencing posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and substance abuse following physical injury.

 

Megan received her Masters in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nevada, where she received intensive training in acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. She has practiced therapy in outpatient mental health clinics, community health/primary care settings, and in a residential inpatient setting with adolescents. 

 

Clinically, Megan takes an integrative and client-centered approach with the goal of collaboration and helping clients get back to living a life that is fulfilling and purposeful. She utilizes evidence-based treatments, including acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. She enjoys working with clients from diverse backgrounds and with unique needs, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, grief/loss, chronic medical conditions, including chronic pain, and individuals who often feel overwhelmed by negative thoughts and big emotions.

 

Megan is a Pacific Northwest native. When she isn’t working with clients, Megan enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and going on road trips.

Payment is due at the time of treatment. If you would like to request out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance company, she can provide you with a detailed invoice. Please contact your insurance company to verify any mental health benefits.

Our office has moved to Forest Office Park, Building F as of May 2019. There is all-day parking surrounding the building. Our building is ADA accessible and has elevators. Childcare is available in downtown Bellevue at Adventure Kids Playcare; mention our name for a discount.
